Accessibility
Reading should be usable, and barriers should be straightforward to report.

Our approach
The Spiral Accord aims to make its stories and reference material usable across devices and assistive technologies. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a reference for improvements. This is a statement of approach and current limitations, not a certification or a claim that every page meets a particular WCAG level.
Features currently available
- Main pages include a skip-to-content link, headings and labelled navigation.
- Books provide chapter contents and links to available chapters.
- Recap disclosures let readers choose when to reveal ending spoilers.
- Text can be enlarged using browser zoom; layouts adapt to screen width.
- The homepage hero has a pause control, and other media uses playback controls or portrait interactions.
Known limitations
We have not completed a comprehensive independent accessibility audit. Desktop checks do not establish accessibility across every mobile browser, screen reader or keyboard workflow. Some artwork can contain text within an image; a description may not convey every detail. Video captions, transcripts and audio descriptions are not consistently available. Moving portraits and background video can be distracting, and reduced-motion support needs broader verification. Third-party Spotify players and account services can introduce additional barriers.
Getting assistance
Email regan@thespiralaccord.com with the page address, the task you were trying to complete and the barrier you encountered. If useful, include your browser, device or assistive technology; avoid sending account passwords or sensitive diagnostic information. Tell us whether you need a text description, a different format or help navigating a chapter. We will assess a practical way to help and record the issue for correction.
You can also contact us by telephone on +61 495 010 006 (Call/TXT) or email regan@thespiralaccord.com. Please identify a preferred way to receive a reply. An alternate-format request does not require you to explain a medical diagnosis.
Ongoing review
Priorities include keyboard navigation, readable contrast, text resizing, sensible focus order, motion controls and better media alternatives. Known issues and this statement will be updated as testing and corrections are completed. Read about WCAG.
