Terms of Use
Reading access, account responsibilities and use of material on this website.
Updated 2 November 2026
Monthly membership
The Spiral Accord membership costs US$0.99 per month and renews automatically until cancelled. The amount and any applicable taxes are shown at Stripe Checkout before you confirm. Your bank may charge for currency conversion. A confirmed reader account is required, and the membership belongs to that account.
The members area is launching with empty collection pages; member content will be added over time. No particular content quantity or release schedule is promised. You can view the current offer on the membership page before subscribing.
Use Manage billing to update your payment method, view invoices or cancel future renewal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and access continues until then. An unsuccessful renewal pauses member access until payment is resolved. Cancelling renewal does not itself request a refund; contact regan@thespiralaccord.com for billing errors or refund requests. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
Member material is for your personal enjoyment. Membership does not grant rights to republish, resell or distribute it. Specific download permissions, if any, will appear alongside the relevant item.
About these terms
These terms describe use of The Spiral Accord website, free reading features and monthly membership. Questions can be directed to Regan Andrews at regan@thespiralaccord.com. They do not replace an individually signed publishing or licensing agreement, or any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
Reading and sharing links
You may browse the publicly available material for personal reading and share links to public pages. Ordinary browser caching and accessibility tools used for that reading are permitted. Free access does not grant a right to republish chapters, distribute copies of the books or media, sell adaptations, or use the series branding commercially.
Statutory exceptions, including any applicable rights concerning criticism, review, quotation, research, education or accessible formats, remain unaffected. Whether an exception applies depends on the use and governing law; these terms do not replace those exceptions with a blanket prohibition.
Copyright, branding and permissions
Ownership is identified in the site notice and any asset-specific credits. Rights in a particular contribution may differ from rights in the series text or marks. Do not imply endorsement, present an unofficial project as an official release, or remove attribution from material supplied under an agreed permission. Requests for excerpts, republication, adaptations, music or branding should go through Rights & Licensing. A link or publicly accessible file is not a commercial licence.
Reader accounts
Use an email you control and keep credentials private. Do not impersonate another reader, access another person’s saved places or attempt to bypass access controls. Accounts and email-dependent features are available only when enabled on the account page. Reading progress is saved manually through “Save my place”; a saved position is not a guarantee that a chapter will remain available indefinitely.
Responsible use
Do not disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, probe other users’ information, evade publication gates or use contact facilities to harass others. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security concerns or legal requirements. Where practical and appropriate, concerns can be raised through the contact address before or after a restriction.
Availability, spoilers and mature material
The catalogue identifies available chapters; unavailable material is withheld. Publication dates and future projects can change. Guides are intended to be spoiler-light, while recaps reveal completed plots within labelled panels. Media and character pages can reveal premises or later cast members. The series is intended for adults and includes sensitive themes described in its reader advisory. Fictional dialogue and events are not professional advice.
Messages and proposals
You retain rights in material you submit. An enquiry permits us to read it and use it to respond or assess the proposal; it does not transfer ownership of an unpublished story or grant an unrestricted publication licence. Do not submit another person’s confidential material without authority. If an NDA is needed, request one before supplying confidential project details; sending unsolicited material alone does not establish confidentiality obligations.
External services and purchases
External media and services have their own terms and privacy practices. Printed editions are not currently offered through a working checkout on this site. If sales open, applicable pricing, delivery, cancellation and returns information will be provided before purchase. A future licensing deal is governed by its signed agreement.
Rights preserved and concerns
Nothing here excludes a consumer guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded. The site does not promise uninterrupted availability or that every fictional or reference statement is error-free. Report a problem with the page URL and enough detail to investigate. Any applicable law and dispute arrangements for a commercial licence will be agreed in that licence; this page does not impose a blanket foreign-court requirement on readers.
Updates
Changes will be published with an updated date. Material changes will not be described as automatically rewriting an existing separately signed agreement.
