Raven is human: Corran’s travelling companion and partner, willing to question him when his explanations fall short.

Between journeys: love, shared discoveries and a moment to dance.
Presence without deference
In The Throne of Ash, danger reaches Tempest before Corran has explained it to Raven. She notices the gap and questions him. Trust between them includes difficult conversations.
Attention as action
In The Hong Kong Chronicle, Raven watches the ship and listens to what Corran finds difficult to say. Earlier journeys remain part of their relationship when they arrive somewhere new.
Love that develops through the journey
From Book 7 onward, Raven and Corran build a relationship in which attraction and affection grow alongside trust. She can meet his charm with humour, challenge his evasions and choose intimacy without surrendering her independence. Their closeness has a life beyond the crisis of the moment: shared attention, desire, practical care and the conversations that remain after danger passes.
